Forged carbon steel components — flanges, fittings, valves, parts — for ambient and high-temperature piping.
Key requirements (7)
- Carbon steel forgings for piping applications.
- Yield strength: 36 ksi minimum; UTS: 70 ksi minimum.
- Service temperature: −29 °C to 425 °C (−20 °F to 800 °F) typical.
- Used for forged flanges, fittings, valves up to NPS 4 typically.
- Charpy impact: not required by default; can be supplementary.
- Heat treatment: as-forged, normalized, or normalized + tempered.
- Companion forged grade: A350 LF2 for low-temperature service.
