Cast carbon steel valve bodies and fittings (WCA, WCB, WCC).
Key requirements (6)
- Steel castings, carbon, suitable for fusion welding, for high-temperature service.
- Grades WCA, WCB, WCC: WCB most common (yield 36 ksi, UTS 70 ksi).
- Service temperature: up to ~425 °C typical.
- Used for valve bodies, pump casings, fittings.
- Heat treatment: full annealing, normalizing, or normalize-temper.
- Soundness inspection (RT, MT, PT) per supplementary requirements.
