Key requirements (6)
- Steel castings, ferritic and martensitic, for pressure-containing parts at low service temperature.
- Grades LCB, LCC, LC1, LC2, LC3, LC4, LC9: by impact test temperature.
- LCC: −46 °C MDMT (most common).
- LC9 (9Ni): down to −195 °C — cryogenic service.
- Charpy impact at MDMT: per grade table.
- Used for cast valve bodies, pump casings in cryogenic service.
